Lots of changes coming

After a quieter summer, we're back to development work!

We've asked for your feedback and are focusing on developing features that make Bikenav even smoother to use. The improvements concern maps, navigation, and app usability.

Here's a look at upcoming improvements

🔍 Map updates

New location information is being added to the maps, which is immediately visible at certain zoom levels – such as gas stations, shelters and attractions. This makes route planning and navigation easier and more effortless.

🧭 Guided navigation

The apps will feature turn-by-turn navigation, which provides clear turn-by-turn directions and helps you stay on track. Navigation will automatically recalculate your route if you deviate from your planned route. Traditional route following is also still available.

🤖 Android updates

We are finalizing the route editing feature in the Android app. Soon you will be able to create and edit routes directly in the app – easily and flexibly, just according to your needs. We are also continuing to explore the possibility of getting Android Auto support in the app.

🍏 iOS updates

The iOS version will feature vector maps, which will improve map accuracy and loading speed. There will also be improvements to zoom level control, making the app even smoother to use. There will also be minor improvements to CarPlay functionality.

⚙️ Improvements to routing settings

Routing settings are getting more flexibility and intelligence. You will now have more control over route selection

Thanks!

Warm thanks to every subscriber and user of the app for your support. Thanks to you, we can take Bikenavi even better!

Stay tuned – Best regards, Bikenavi Team
